Founded by Horden-born filmmaker Carl Joyce, our work is deeply embedded in the communities of East Durham, particularly the former pit villages often described as ‘marginalised.’ Through genuine connections, we have built trusted relationships, allowing us to collaborate with communities that are typically wary of outsiders.

 

In May 2024, our self-funded documentary The School on Seaside Lane won Best Documentary at the Sunderland Film Festival and was screened across Europe. We also specialise in documenting projects for artists and arts organisations across the region, including collaborations with English Heritage, Shelter, No More Nowt, and others.
