THE SCHOOL ON SEASIDE LANE
The Easington Colliery School was once a pillar of the local community but after closing it's doors in the mid 90s it stood empty and fell into disrepair, dividing opinion throughout Easington about it’s future. Years of failed redevelopment plans left the building as a reminder of the Colliery’s past, a community shaped by coal mining and the miners’ strike of the 1980s.
